Corporatism is getting scary.
Romero may be bringing more of that theory "Intelligent" Zombie, as he did with Bub (Day of the Dead) and Big Daddy (Land of the Dead), The "Nun" Zombie in "Dawn" (shes outside of JC Penny's). After all Day was not what Romero originally had in mind, it was a more "modernized" script to also deal with the budget of the film. "Day" was to take place on a remote Island where Zombies were being trained to be an army. Take a look here:http://www.homepageofthedead.com/films/day/script. ...Romero likes to preserve some of our culture in his Zombie movies. Aka the Mall craze in the 70's became the focal point of "Dawn". Nuclear Bunkers for "Day" in the 80s for "Day". And the Homeless issues that are occurring today for "Land".And it always seems like Romeo has a "okay that was nice... let me show you how to make a real zombie flick" when a handful of Zombie Flicks come out within a few years of each other (Zombieland, Dawn Of The Dead Remake, etc). This is "his" way for saying "this is my version of a Zombie flick"...that's my .02

She was prepubescent in FireStarter, 1984. That would put her at around 8 or 9 in 1983 (assuming that was film year)That means, yes... she is 34.?
Why would legalization lead to long-term higher healthcare costs or lost productivity? After an initial celebratory spike overall marijuana use probably isn't going to change much after legalization; everyone can already get it, it's just expensive and of dubious quality. High quality product from a regulated industry is less likely to have harmful contaminants. Moreover, legal industry means it's easier to market products that avoid the only real health concern with marijuana (the smoke), through alcohol tinctures or edibles or vaporizers or etc.And alcohol has a hell of a lot more impact on productivity than weed. Most people are not going to be getting either drunk or high before work, but hangovers can leave an employee effectively useless. If we encourage people to smoke instead of drinking, their evening recreation will have much less impact on the morning's productivity. |
